From 25 September 2026, the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021 comes into force, requiring the maintenance and inspection of fire protection equipment to be entrusted exclusively to qualified maintenance technicians certified by the Italian Fire Brigade. ITECH has completed the training process required by the regulations and is fully qualified to operate in compliance with the new decree. Companies currently relying on non-certified technicians for maintenance will need to comply with the new requirements: now is the time to act.

Manufacturing plants
For industrial environments exposed to risks caused by stray currents, we install conventional systems, which are more robust and reliable than addressable systems in areas where electromagnetic interference may occur.
Warehouses and storage areas
These are high-risk environments due to the presence of combustible materials and large air volumes. We use multi-sensor detectors that combine smoke and heat detection to provide accurate and timely protection.
Hospitals and healthcare facilities
In critical environments where operational continuity is essential, we design redundant systems with centralised management, capable of activating area-specific emergency procedures while ensuring maximum reliability.
Boiler rooms and energy facilities
The risk of gas and carbon monoxide build-up requires dedicated solutions. We install CO and gas detectors integrated with alarm and automatic suppression systems, ensuring comprehensive protection.
ATEX areas
For areas classified as being at risk of explosion, we design systems compliant with ATEX classifications and SIL functional safety requirements, using certified components suitable for potentially explosive atmospheres.

From 25 September 2026, only technicians certified by the Italian Fire Brigade may carry out maintenance on fire protection equipment. ITECH is fully qualified and provides services in compliance with the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021.
